Casting

CASTING is a multi-genre performance about a casting call for an upcoming mysterious show.

You will have a chance to look behind the scenes of acrobats, dancers and other performers preparing for, as they hope, a life-changing opportunity to become famous and reputable artists. Also, you will peek into the private lives of the protagonist that might be inspired by the artist’s real characters. But not everything is what it looks like which you will find out at the end of the show.

CASTING is full of acrobatics, dance, movement art, adrenaline and rivalries but also full of love and tenderness. On top of that, the show includes live music performance.

Director Pavel Šimák
Pavel Šimák was born 25. 11. 1972 in Sokolov. He initially devoted himself to acting and movement theater, he studied at the Prague Conservatory. Already at the conservatory he wrote and directed one of his graduation plays. After several years of acting at the ABC Theater in Prague, he studied direction at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno.

Kytaru jsem si zamiloval v osmé třídě, kdy ji jedna spolužačka donesla do školy. Od té doby hraju a hraju. Hraju v kapele Srpen, Johanband a často také sám. Hráli jsme k divadlu, němým filmům a nyní i k cirkusu. Je to zřejmě posedlost.

Tomáš Rossi

Jsem členem Divadla loutek Ostrava. Hudba se stala mou celoživotní cestou. Co se týče mých aktivit, tak se naplno věnuji skládáním hudby do různých představení a také aktivně vystupuji v několika hudebních projektech.
